A few months before its launch, design realized that the Disney+ app was not meeting AA accessibility. I was tasked with auditing hundreds of screens across every platform and checking to make sure the app was up to standards.
The process involved auditing hundreds of artboards and components in our library. We used applications like Stark or Contrast to manually check the contrast of every visual and document suggested solutions.
With the help of a coworker, documentation was prepared for every platform for production designers to quickly overhaul the system and meet compliance before launch.
Close up of documentation. It was reviewed by the rest of the design team and implemented into the design system.
